People seek therapy for many reasons, and whatever yours is, untangling emotions can help ease the struggle within.
I have experience of working with adults encountering anxiety and depression, relationship difficulties, disordered eating, and pain around identity and loss.
How I Work
I work psychodynamically, which means we would think together about what is currently troubling you, and your past experiences. Therapy may seem a daunting prospect; in practice it is a relationship focused on you through which greater self-understanding and change becomes possible.
Before we begin working together, I offer an initial consultation lasting an hour. This is an opportunity for us to explore what you are looking for from therapy, for you to ask any questions about the way I work, and to see if we would be a good fit. Regular sessions last 50 minutes and take place at the same time each week.
I offer two ways of working:
(i) short-term work of 12 sessions, where we agree a specific focus and work within that;
(ii) open-ended psychotherapy, which allows deeper understanding and patterns to emerge, and you can end when you feel ready.
We can discuss these options at an initial consultation.
Training
I trained at WPF Therapy and the British Psychotherapy Foundation in London. I follow the BPC (British Psychoanalytic Council) ethical code, meaning I work professionally, safely, and confidentially.
Fee
My fee is typically £70-80 per session, however this is negotiable depending on circumstances.
