Hayley Manning

About me:
I am a UKCP accredited and BACP registered Humanistic Psychotherapist and Psychotherapeutic Counsellor, specialising in grief, loss and trauma. Many of my clients come to me when they are feeling stuck, depressed or anxious. Having professional support to work through these difficult experiences and feelings can be really helpful. You don’t have to struggle alone; I want to help. I host a podcast called Time to Talk TFMR, and have worked for bereavement charities and The Royal Marsden NHS.

How I work:
Working either in-person or online, I use an integrative approach, combining Person-Centred, Gestalt and Transactional Analysis. I also incorporate Attachment theory and trauma informed thinking to create a bespoke therapy plan for you. What binds all these theories together, is my unwavering belief that you are the expert on you, that you are inherently resilient and capable of growth and that our therapeutic relationship will be the basis for healing.

Who I work with:
My depth of experience and expertise in loss is a common theme for the men and women I help. Loss can cover the most obvious - the death of someone close to us - but it is so much more than this. Loss of relationships, work, health, parts of ourselves -or even paths not taken (felt as regret, anger or even shame)- are all a part of living life.
I have found that many of us leave little room to grieve the losses we inevitably experience as we go through life. They can build up, leaving us feeling isolated and alone, along with possible anxiety and depression.
I have experience and a special interest in pregnancy complications, including infertility, miscarriage and termination for medical reasons (TFMR) and ill health/terminal illness, specifically cancer.
